Weather. And movies.

Scott and I finally went to see the Narnia movie this weekend. It was very good - not quite as true to the books as I'd thought base don other people saying it was, but fairly well. The deviations were small, and most of them made it either better or simply more tolerable to a modern audience. Some were made because it made a more exciting film, I think. I'm not sure why a couple were made.

It was much fun, a very good movie, and I'm glad we got to go see it. I did jokingly say to Scott as we were leaving, though, that having the theater that cold was a lousy way to add realism to a movie whose early scenes mostly take place in a frozen landscape. (We were at the first showing, a 10 am showing, so I suspect he's right in saying it just hadn't heated up yet. Sigh. Logic wins again.)

Then when we got out, we headed over to Marco's and chatted for a while. By then the clouds had blown up and, as we drove back home, it was with the first bits of snow coming down. (It's around 36 or 37, so they're not going to stick real well, I would bet - though it is sticking a bit to the bark mulch.) They're still coming down, and there's a good wind whipping them past too.

Tonight it is supposed to be down to 30 so perhaps there will be some snow sticking tomorrow morning. Who knows. If the forecast is right, after that we warm back up to rain-only temperatures, even for the lows.
