Timing is everything....

I felt much better by yesterday evening, after drinking lots of water and sleeping the afternoon away. If only it had hit on Wednesday or today!

My parents sent left-overs home with Scott for me, but I really would have liked to actually get to spend the day with them. Ah, well, crap happens.

Still have sinus whatnot but I'm so used to that, I don't think it really counts.

My brain's not working completely yet today, but it is working well enough for me to realize that it would be a grand time to do my grocery shopping, as the vast majority of people who are out at all, are likely over making the mall a truly miserable experience. Sure enough, it was a breeze.

Oh, and ... overstocked much?

I think maybe someone bought too many turkeys. While I was grocery shopping, I went through the meat department (which was between me and the milk, which is what I wanted). The guy working there was telling every single person who went past "you really want a turkey! they're a great deal!"

I laughed and told him no I didn't, but he actually had someone else start an argument with him. They guy who came along after I did was told it could be put in his freezer till he wanted it, and promptly allowed as how he already had a turkey in the freezer.

I didn't even look at the price, but.... Gotta figure someone either thinks he's funnier than he is, or is real desperate to get rid of those birds.

The Friday Five

1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not?

Depends. Sometimes I enjoy it very much, sometimes not at all. It depends on my mood. I don't mind grocery shopping unless it's a madhouse. If I want something or am just restless, as long as the place isn't insanely busy or full of children being loud, I enjoy it. Otherwise, I avoid it if I can.

2. What was the last thing you purchased?

Groceries. So exciting. According to the receipt, the loaf of 12-grain bread was the last thing across the scanner.

3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why?

Real store. I like touching things, trying on clothes, browsing bits of books, confirming that things are in good shape and are what I want, and most of all - instant gratification. Shipping takes time!

4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it?

Yes. I don't remember how much it was but I do remember I did not think it was enough. Like most kids who got an allowance, I imagine. :)

5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing?

Ummm.... I have no idea? Oh, wait - probably the Margherita Chicken frozen dinner with the ungodly amount of garlic in it. *shudders* I like garlic, but I couldn't taste the chicken. Ew.
