I know you all wanted a survey evening....
This is one of the surveys I made a note of to take later. So, now it's later.
Status, right now
Wearing: Black slacks, red t-shirt, black button-up sweater (unbuttoned, of course).
Eating: Nothing, now. Lentil soup with bread a few minutes ago.
Talking to: No one. Or all of you, if this counts.
Phone with: No one. I sometimes type during convos, but generally try not to. Last phone call was a coworker with an after-hours call.
Time: 9:10 pm
Drinking: Sierra Mist (from a glass, for the first time I actually bought the 2-liter and acknowledged that, yes, I really am drinking that much).
Listening to: A really HORRID "spy movie" (Scott borrowed - he was not expecting it to be quite this bad).
When was the last time you...
Smiled: Just a moment ago, amused at Scott's spy movie.
Laughed: Just now. (Good guy extends trust to bad guy debating turning, gives him a gun. Bad guy agrees to work with him, hands over gun. Good guy loads gun. Bad guy: "The gun wasn't loaded, was it?" Good guy: "George, I'm stupid. I'm not crazy.")
Cried: Not sure when. Pretty recently, probably. I cry easily - at books or the like. If you count the way my eyes water when I put the contacts in, make that this morning.
Bought something: Yesterday (groceries, including the aforementioned bread and Sierra Mist).
Danced: I don't remember.
Were sarcastic: Earlier today, regarding the odds of making a particularly delicate piece of timing work despite one piece being totally FUBARred.
Kissed someone: Just now. (The survey made me do it, yeah, that's it.)
Talked to an ex: Ummm. *contemplates* Probably a month or two, but I'm not sure.
Had a nightmare: I don't have them very often but I think I had one in the past month or two. Can't remember for sure.
What is the...
Last book you read: Last I completed was Laura Resnick's In Legend Born. Current reading material is Li-Young Lee's Book of My Nights.
Last thing you had to drink: Still Sierra Mist.
Last time you showered: Yesterday evening.
Last thing you ate: Didn't we cover this above?
Do you...
Live in the moment? Sometimes. Sometimes I live in dreams. Which I suppose are just someone else's moment.
Dream a dream that keeps coming back? No.
Play an instrument? Not since junior high. I played the trombone, and remembering how I played it, I apologize to everyone around me. I wanted to learn piano in college, but it was a bit much on me and I gave up. I mean to learn guitar eventually, but - you know how it is, overcommitment, and all.
Believe there is life on other planets? I think it's very probable. Whether it's intelligent life, who knows? (I sometimes wonder whether what we have here is intelligent life, anyway, so.... ;)
Read the newspaper? Rarely. I read news and comics online, but sometimes I glance through a newspaper on the break room table at work.
Have any gay or lesbian friends? Yep.
Believe in miracles? Yes.
Consider yourself tolerant of others? No. I try to be, I wish I were, but I get grouchy when people don't understand me. I have a shorter fuse than I'd like. I'm tolerant of most issues not related to communication, but....
Like the taste of alcohol? No. Ugh!
Have a favourite candy? See's brown sugar butter creams. Oh, yummy!
Believe in astrology? Yes, I believe. How could you doubt that the theory of astrology exists when there are all those books? Now, whether or not it predicts the future...ah, no, that I don't believe.
Believe in God? By my definition, yes. Your mileage may vary.
Pray? Yes.
Go to church? No.
Have any secrets? Yep.
Have any pets? Not right now, no.
Do well in school? Not now, but when I was in school, I did pretty decent, yep.
Go to college? I did. Graduated.
Talk to strangers who instant message you? Nope. Most of them seem, um, obnoxious. I pretty much have that blocked. (I do tend to read and maybe talk to strangers who comment in my journal, if they seem interesting, though.)
Have any piercings? Nope. Had my ears pierced at one time, discovered they didn't like that state, or at least, they didn't like my unicorn earrings. ;)
Have any tattoos? Nope.
Have an obsession? Not that I'm aware of.
Collect anything? Interesting books, craft supplies for crafts I'll do "some day", state quarters (one per, thank you, not incessantly), centennial quarters (half-heartedly), bits and scraps of paper I'm too lazy to clean up.
Have a best friend? Not really. I have friends I click with really well. As a kid, I really learned to dislike that concept, mostly because it shuts people out.
Wish on stars? Now and then, if I'm feeling playful.
Like your handwriting? Not really. Don't hate it either, but it's not pretty. It's readable - to me anyway.
Have any bad habits? Unfortunately yes. ;)
Care about looks? Yes and no. I do care about looks - I'm human, it draws me - but if I've gotten to know and like someone, looks don't usually affect that.
