After September 11, a lot of people said America knows what it's really like now.
And we do, and we also don't. There was one moment of horror, and a long cleanup. Many people I know begin to forget, to learn to live with only slightly-tauter nerves than before. Which is a far cry from what some people go through, in some areas.
