Back at work. And happy.
A little bit of chaos is fun, right? I got in at 7:30, had just under 150 emails waiting. I have cleared those out (some irrelevant, many responded to, some reviewed and filed for reference), almost entirely. I have four outstanding emails still to resolve (a code review, a design review, a design update and re-estimate with new information, and a document review). Gee, I wonder how those four got held.
I'm on call this week. I wasn't, but I realized I was on-call during a business trip, which would have stunk mightily (yes, the trip that got rescheduled - I swapped my coverage off the original dates - onto the new dates! AUGH!). So I traded off hastily.
It's second-level, which isn't too bad, but I'll have to make sure the folks I've committed to R&R with this week don't mind. I know the Tuesday night group won't, at least, we've already discussed it since that's an ongoing thing.
I'm off to a meeting now to see how the project's going, except I already know that every outstanding "important" (not "critical") issue was resolved while I was on vacation. This team rocks. (There is one now, but it was entered after they resolved them all - while they were assigned to other stuff. So.)
