kyrielle: A creek surrounded by trees, brightly sunlight - the photo is staring into the glare (sunlit creek)

Pretty, pretty, pretty foggy morning.

Outside my window now, the sunrise is just thinking about happening, somewhere off behind too many clouds and trees. To my east, fog and low clouds cover the trees - I can see the distant trees very faintly, as mid grey shadows against the lighter grey of the clouds. The tallest of those distant trees just pokes up slightly above the clouds. Above them the sky is faintly tinted, as if someone had drawn amber chalk across a slate and just a bint had dusted down onto the sky. The nearer tree is a faintly-tinted-brown silhouette against this and the slightly bluer sky above.

And above and to the right of the tree is the crescent moon, extraordinarily thin and extraordinarily bright. It's magical. It was even more so about 15 minutes ago, when the sky was barely touched with light, the far trees and clouds were undifferentiated and looked like distant hills, and the near tree was a black-on-grey silhouette.

Exquisite, exquisite morning.

Yesterday was good. Today will be good, I shall hope. I've some things to do tonight - writeups for the characters in the Tuesday-night games, applications of experience. Book-keeping, mostly, but hey. Meanwhile....

...I'm going to go to work. I think today is code reviews and compiles.
