Well, that wasn't quite what I planned for today....
...but it worked out okay anyway. I was going to go to Silver Falls State Park. Except, you know, I lost 214 partway there. :P Had a lovely country roads drive - I figured it out pretty soon, but figured I'd just wander and get back and go there when I did. And then I realized I'd used up one of my two camera batteries totally and the other partway, while at my parents' yesterday, and forgot to recharge them.
Okay, right. So I came back without going to the park (did find the turnoff I'd missed, though!), figuring I'll do it tomorrow. I did go ahead and go to the Japanese Gardens - my second battery went to low battery toward the end of that, so now they both need recharging, and it means I was right about not doing the park today, probably. Did some shopping that needed to be done (snacks, mostly, but also a prescription) and came home. That was mostly tomorrow's list, but hey, it works out in the end. The weather today is much nicer than the past few days - they were predicting it would be as bad as yesterday, but it's cloudy and still pretty cool right now, so I'm happy. I still had to turn on the AC - the computer room managed to warm up pretty well - but it didn't take much to get it liveable. :)
Now to get all the pictures onto my computer, between the Gardens and the visit to my parents yesterday, and from there, some of them up to buzznet. (The birds from my parents' house, and the insane little beastie they call a pet cat....)
