My allergies are pretty severe. I also had childhood asthma. I haven't had a full-on attack in something like a decade, but I have had the occasional shortness of breath that could be a prelude to one a few times. Never needed the inhaler, though.

When I was a child, they considered allergy shots for me but wanted me in the hospital if so - as my allergies were pretty severe. I'm not sure how big the risk really was assessed to be but the idea still makes me nervous.
