Election Results

President's at least officially not decided yet according to the news, but it looks this morning as it did last night - like it will be Bush. To say I am disappointed is an immense understatement; with what he has done and said in the last four years, I do not trust the man or think he is the right choice. I hope I am very, very wrong, if he does win - and it looks like he will.

Other than that, I am happy with how many of the issues I voted on. Not quite all. The state measures that I cared about strongly came out the way I voted, except two (maybe three). One of those is a constitutional amendment that defines marriage in Oregon as between one man and one woman, and I am very sad to find that I live in a state where that can pass. Another is a property compensation law where I like the spirit but I think the execution is going to be a nightmare; now, I guess, we find out. And the third is a malpractice limitation law, which is still not called according to KOIN. This would be because they're showing a difference of only 562 votes between yes and no - with just around a million and a half votes total on the issue....

And the local library levy did fail. It was not that much per year. Blast it.
