Things that suck....

One of my molars is hurting in response to heat or cold, though only
mildly. This tooth has had multiple fillings over the years and most
are from when I was young, so probably one needs replacing. I call my
dentist and....

..they're closed for two weeks, reopening after Christmas. I'm very
twitchy in dentist's offices anyway, I don't care for the experience
at all. This is not making me
happy.

I hate when I built up the courage to get a dentist appointment after getting insurance again and all I got was the answering service. There's no emergency/on-call number?

Oh, I got a real person, actually! Who advised me they're closed for two weeks. And couldn't find an alternate dentist.

I can, on the other hand. And did. I do NOT like having to get dental care from an unknown, but...in the same building, close to where I work, easy to get to, answers phone, can fit me in. Close enough for now. It's still not bad, fortunately. I'll go in tomorrow afternoon.
