Lunchtime update.
Yeah, so, I was taking notes. Hee. My day so far....
8:33 am
I got to work and checked my email and...nothing. Nothing had changed or blown up. Wow. My contacts are in and, after sleeping for around ten hours last night, while I still don't feel totally rested, I do feel like I'll survive the day. Have to decide between my desire to sleep myself out tonight, and my desire to try to catch these early-morning fogs on film, however.
I started a compile of a new system, fixed the change in place that would let it compile, and started it again (yay, maxing out the error count it will bother with before stopping!). Rearranged my icons on my desktop (because after an 'involuntary reboot' due to power issues overnight night before last, they were all sludged together, not in categories) and added a shortcut to the bug-tracking system. The compile is still running strong. Yay, compiles.
I have a TON of merging to do on my laptop. So, enough writing, time to start that.
9:40
Ton of merging. Appropriate phrase, I think the merging involved almost drove me nuts. It's now recompiling, so I can see how well I did at it. Which will teach me not to get the source for three blasted versions....
11:20
We did our schedule out into the future, with Y. helping. It's still more or less doable and less swamping than I'd thought. Plus, now I have someone else backing me up as I try to evaluate things. On the down side, my throat hurts a bit when I swallow, to go with a stuffy head. That's probably a bad sign.
Poor P. is chasing a bug that went away when he tried to watch it. That has to be sort of annoying. :)
...and now, I have had lunch, which was a nummy slice of pizza from the deli, following with a green salad, and a Dr. Pepper. (Normally I avoid soda; but this was included in the price of the pizza meal, and I thought the sugar and caffeine might help a little. The pizza seemed to help with the throat, and I'm still alive, anyway. :)

Icon tip
Secondary benifit is not having to minimize everything to get to the icons, once you've got their folder open.
