I hate viruses.

Also, "nnnnnngh." I feel really, really tired and dragging, and it's pathetic as I spent almost no time on either call. One was a midnight call from a fellow techie about a message received after restarting the system (which was done due to the need to clean the machine of a virus, and wanting the system down whilst doing so). The other was a direct call about helping a client with a virus, and making sure it hadn't gotten onto a server (which got passed to one of our support people who should be more awake and know more about dealing with viruses and weird stuff than I do).

Midnight, and slightly before 6 am. I hate viruses. And since neither one took even 10 minutes, I am going to feel like a moron if I don't drag myself into work.

They pay me well. Not as well as the work I'm currently doing deserves, but I'm trying to phase out of the part of it that makes me worth more than I'm getting (and hand it over to someone who is more suited to it, except for needing some final knowledge transfer, and is already making something more appropriate to the role).

I get $100 for carrying the pager each week. And one of those two calls counts as an assist and is worth $50. I don't think the other one counts as anything, alas.
