Ahhhh, contentment.

It is beautiful out. Rainy and windy and wet and glorious.

My scores at the photo-challenge site will probably drop. I love outdoor photos taken in this weather, and a great many other members seem to prize clear weather and score you down for lack of it, as if the photographer could have made the clouds roll back. (If they weren't timed challenges, you could keep trying until you got it, but having only a week - well, I tend to think there are some things that just ain't happening.)

Oh, well. They like these photos less; I like them as much, and sometimes more. I think this weather is a glorious beauty, after all. There probably will be fewer photos from me (since getting them now means going out and getting soaked, and while I love this weather, my camera maybe would not be so fond of that activity), but not so many fewer.

I'm babbling. I'm also heading out for a while now. I have no idea where I'll go or what I'll take pictures of, I just want to get out and enjoy the weather. *bounce*

Good morning!

Bah. You know, I actually prefer photos of grey and even storm cloud-filled days. There is such an incredible mood they have to offer. So inspiring. :)

Good luck on the photos! :-) I always thought that photos taken under slightly less than good conditions turned out better anyway. There's something about the colours that's crisper...

Anyway, have fun!

If everyone took pictures of bright, clear days, we would never have the beautiful images created by the sun at dusk as it bathes the summits of tall thunderheads in a warm, orange glow. We also would lack the contrasts of the bright blue sky against the dark gray of an approaching storm front. Or, pictures of the long shadows cast by clouds and the rays of sunlight pouring through breaks in the lining....

Heh. Oh. Well, honestly, I'm a big fan of clouds. And a big fan of no sun. :-> Dramatic lighting is good, but not always. Sometimes the drab grey, dim light of the clouds tells entire stories in its own right.
