Oh, dear. The Bush administration is really going downhill....

Though I find what he attempted to accomplish inappropriate in some ways, I find the humor of the result overwhelming. This man is not a good president, he is reprehensible, and I can't wait until we get our shot to vote him out of office, I hope by everything that is dear that we do so.

He would be much more entertaining if I didn't remember the incredible responsibility and trust that he holds right now. And I do not trust him with it.

Anyway, apparently he's really upset about the leaks in the White House. (Side note: I think whoever leaked the agent's identity should be nailed. I also think Bush's reaction is both overkill and impossible to enforce, and if he didn't believe the former he should have realized the latter. He made himself look like an idiot, again, and the result was as predictable as his lack of sufficient thinking to avoid it.)

Favorite quote from the article, hands-down:

Bush told his senior aides Tuesday that he "didn't want to see any stories" quoting unnamed administration officials in the media anymore, and that if he did, there would be consequences, said a senior administration official who asked that his name not be used.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] rollick for posting this. And thank you to the folks who wrote that article, for delivering a truly glorious statement....

Hear, hear. The quote is fantastic, too.

Is that a new icon? It's very cute!

I thought so. It's very sweet.

Is Neopets the time sink I think it might be? I looked at the site a couple of times, but didn't dare get involved.

The plots SCARE me now. Was at Borders the other day and saw Neopets: The Official Magazine ... O_o ... half of which was about the Neopets CCG WotC is putting out ... O_o!!! ... but there was a short article about plots.

They said that previous plots, to be solved, required such things as poking through the source code.

Oooo, those explanations sound interesting. Where are they?

It actually can work

It seems stupid to make an announcement like that:
Bush told his senior aides Tuesday that he "didn't want to see any stories" quoting unnamed administration officials in the media anymore, and that if he did, there would be consequences, said a senior administration official who asked that his name not be used.
But he did that last year sometime. And it actually worked, at least for a while.

Amazing!

p.s. I agree with you that "...whoever leaked the agent's identity should be nailed." Some recent indications are that it was actually someone in the CIA, which is more than a little anti-Bush.
