Wow, either Discover has gone into massive decline of technical accuracy, or I'm reading a lot more precisely than I used to. Either way, I'm tempted to do a rather caustic detailed review of that article, just to get my shock at the number of simple errors out of my head.

I spoke too broadly. Not errors per se, but rather atypical implicit (and nearly explicit) conclusions which do not, to the best of my knowledge, reflect the majority of modern research. Cool gene though. :)
