Alta, again....

I finished this book last night. It rocked. Rocked, rocked, rocked. Joust was a neat world and story, but it needed an editor. This one - this one was every bit as good and better, with no errors and even more story. The world, the people, the history....

...this book rocked. And it did not always take the obvious path I expected it to, which was nice - sometimes. :)

I want mooooore! :)

Aw damn, there goes (why can't I remember if that's how that word is spelled? gos? goses? Oh well) my month long abstinence from buying books. I was in the bookstore on Friday and bought Joust (because of your post). Got annoyed with the continuity errors--pick a color for the damn dragon already!-- but loved the world, and M. Lackey's happy-ending/the good guys always come out on top style. I just know I'm going to be back in B&N trying desperately to read all of Alta this afternoon (to avoid another purchase, if possible, since I'm really supposed to be saving!!) *laughs*. Either way, I'd not read anything by Lackey since the gryphon books, and I must say it was rewarding to revisit her works. Now if I just had more money to buy books... *rueful smile*

No chance of the library having it? But yeah. Joust had a few issues, but was still readable. Alta's...lots better. Tho' I didn't pay a lot of attention to colors in it, so I can't say if that issue came up. ;) I think Ari's dragon may have changed color once. :P
