Ya know, I'm way too easily amused.

There's this little clique meme, that finds the largest clique you are a member of (from the output "clique" is defined as "group of LJ members who all mutually friend each other").

I am a member of 1 clique of size 12

The definition of that's being used there is quite correct--in graph theory, any set of nodes which is completely interconnected is called a "clique". Just an FYI.

You can choose to view it either as "another geek went and used the precisely correct word which nobody understands", or as "more evidence that the overwhelming majority of people don't understand math". Both are equally correct. I choose to view it as the latter. I can choose to be a cynic on a small scale, and think the world's one million or fewer hardcore geeks are idiots, or I can choose to be a cynic on a large scale, and think that upwards of five billion people on the planet are idiots for not understanding math. I choose to be a large-scale cynic. :)
