All the way down to the party yesterday....

...I saw signs for Oregon's Measure 36. "One Man. One Woman. Yes on 36." You know, before we "save" marriage by restricting it to one man and one woman, I have just one question.

How are we going to pick the one man and the one woman? And what if they want to divorce later?

Tch. They're just going to have to stick it out. Haven't they ever heard of the sanctity of marriage? Divorcing would make a mockery of the whole thing. As for how the One Man and the One Woman get picked, I think they're going to do names out of a hat or something.

Actually reminds me a bit of Terry Pratchett. 'Ankh-Morpork practiced the kind of democracy known as One Man, One Vote. The Patrician was the Man; he had the Vote.'
