No Lush today. At this rate, no Lush ever.
I'm curious, but curiosity really can't justify the effort to get to this store. They open at 11 each day, so it's not like I can do it first thing in the hours when little else is going on here. Plus, it's a half hour of driving, then more time on the bus (how much depends on bus schedules), then the same in reverse to get back.
I'm curious about the stuff, but I'm not curious enough to do that. Or deal with street parking. I'm sorry they didn't pick a better location - if they were near a good parking garage, I'd've gone back when they opened, probably, or near that time. As it is, I think I'm just going to try to give up on my curiosity for good. There's other things out there that haven't managed to find unreachable locations to settle in.
Which also saves me having to browse their web site and make a list of what to be curious about and what not to look at or sniff due to known allergies. :P

Still, I'm sorry you've been Thwarted. Thwarting is always very frustrating.
*sighs* One hour down, twelve to go. I don't believe I signed up for four days of 12 or 13 hours-on-site OT in a row. I'm loco.
Go look at what people have asked me, see if anything comes to mind? No real pressure, just want more questions. :P

And I did file a suggestion with their web site to sell little sample-kits where you could select N items and get a box of tiny amounts to skin-test, smell, etc. Because I think I could use some of 'em, but others would be right out. At least Scott hasn't many allergies.

She and a bunch of other people chipped in money, bought a bunch of soaps, and cut them up in bits, so people could try samples. Worked well for them, and no one got stuck with a block of stuff that wouldn't work for them.
You can also, apparently (according to the Lush forums) request samples both in the stores and onlines.
However, it depends on the item (soaps and other block stuff are easiest). Online orders, it appears to depend heavily on what they've got around at the moment they're doing the shipping.
I'm lucky, in that I don't have much in the way of allergies (in this sense) myself: I just need to track stuff for people I know who do (I know one person with a strong cinnamon allergy, and another with cloves.) However, that's pretty easy to do with their ingredient lists.
I'm going to be doing an online order in the near future, and will probably ask for samples (there's one thing I'd really like a sample of before I buy it). If I get any, I'd be glad to let you know and send you anything that particularly sounded interesting.
