Thbppt.

Life is a terminal, incurable illness acquired at birth, so why not just enjoy whatever happens along?

They can have my fries when they pry the empty container from my cold, dead fingers! GROWF!

They can have my cigarettes, ditto. (Well, from *my* cold dead fingers, ok.)

It used to be only in regard to smoking that one said "Reading the reports on the dangers of smoking is upsetting, so I have decided to quit reading." Now it seems to be all over the place.

So many of these "studies" are extremely poorly done and fed to the press with predetermined agendas in mind. And then turn out to be wrong, which doesn't get reported.
