Also, a chance to help others (costs you nothing)

If you don't read [livejournal.com profile] lj_biz - then you may want to check out this post, about DonorsChoose.org, a site that lets donors give money to specific requests from teachers/classrooms that need money to achieve a goal. In the third section of the post, there is an email address. Six Apart will give a $30 gift certificate to Donors Choice to everyone who emails that address before 5 pm Pacific on Monday.

So, if you see this before Monday and you have the time - consider it. It's on their dime, after all.

Simple contentments.

This morning, Scott and I went to the Lake Oswego farmer's market, then on to Saturday Market. (It's a pity Wilsonville hasn't got a farmer's market, I might make it to one more often if we did, but a number of adjacent towns do. Much to my amusement, every Sunday, it turns out there's one up at Washington Square of all places.)

So, now I have fudge (which I really didn't need) and fresh veggies (which I didn't need, but which are a much better idea than the fudge) and fruits. Peaches and nectaries and blueberries, beans and potatoes and tomatoes. I have NO IDEA whether we'll finish the cherry tomatoes, but the last of the season's pick in mixed yellow/orange/red were too cute to pass up.

Scott just finished chopping the onion for me, so today there will be (an attempt at) goulash from Mom's recipe. And some green beans. I hope this tastes half as good as it sounds to me right now!
