Yeah, I'm with you on the Vatta series. I wanted to like it, but it just...wasn't that good. Everything was too easy.
Not that I want everything horribly traumatic and depressing (like the Robin Hobb novels I'm dragging through right now) but still, everything just fell into place so neatly. I guess. If that makes sense.
