You know, today was really, really good.

Yesterday wasn't bad. But today rocked.

I made cake. Yes, from a mix. I'm not nuts, and I haven't suddenly grown three heads. But I made cake, and it's decent. (It's a little dry - which I half-expected, because I had to substitute, and I'm not really good at that - but it's edible.)

So. Not perfect, but decent. Not half-bad. I have muffin mix, and other stuff. I think I can tolerate this.

And I roleplayed. Oh I roleplayed! Three scenes with my character Alariel (well, two and a half). She's saying goodbye to people, preparatory to going home. The question is, will any of them realize what awaits her at home, and if they do, will they try to stop her? One is almost certain to realize it - halfway through the scene she had to go, but she was in the process of reading my character's mind at the time, and they have an understanding such that it doesn't really seem a violation to them to force that for the other's own good. They're bound too tightly to be troubled by it.

One scene with Jemmael: she went to a party with her friends from Chanicut, and met various people at House Kolzinn-Darr. I was a little spacy by the end - group scenes wear - but it was fun.

One scene with Zulaikh. She spent a good while being a pushy cat at her dear friend Michal, who is definitely on Zulaikh's list of "I like this person" people. The cat was obnoxious. The cat wanted attention, now. The cat ate from Michal's plate, ignoring the bowl of milk ordered for her in favor of the Michal's chicken alfredo.

Michal let her. Michal petted her. Michal admired her, and picked out bits of chicken for her, and petted her some more. Michal carried her around all afternoon, and napped with her.

Zulaikh's a cat. She knows how to spot the people who can be taken advantage of, and take advantage of them. And Michal is a very willing victim, apparently....

*grins* Much fun. Much fun, all of it. And I got a freehold inspected and on the grid, so I've done something building-wise as well. Definitely an online day, all around, except for the baking part...well, and the watching-Enterprise part.
