Got a few things done: laundry, mainly. Including my comforter, and my coat (which is now drip-drying on my parents' back porch - thank you!!).

Also got to meet my parents' kittens. They are so cute. The one that still needs a name charmed me utterly. If only I could have cats here, I think she would have left with me.... Well, okay, probably not. Would've had to talk to Scott. But awwww, I want. She's such a sweetheart. Mom says she does mad vaults and lands partway up your leg with claws extended, trying to scale you, sometimes; but she must have been all tired out when I was there. She gnawed on my fingers a little, and clawed at me a few times, but mostly she lay limply and purred very loudly while I petted her, or even just held her.

Just adorable.

You may remember that I talked about A Constellation of Cats, an anthology edited by Denise Little.

I picked up some more with her name, to see what they were like. Alien Pets was one, and the one I expected the least from.

It's actually not bad so far, except...I've stopped at this little story called "Bongoid". I now plan to never read anything by this author again (if it even exists - I've never heard the name before, and I hope I never do again!), and I am not touching the Evil Book until my fits die down.

UGH.

I have not even words.

And trust me, you don't want me to borrow them from the horror that is this story. They were on the BAD DRUGS when this was written and accepted.
