Happy Thanksgiving, to those who celebrate it.
We went up to have dinner with Scott's aunt and uncle and their family, he and I and Rob. We played card games. The turkey was done early, so we didn't watch sports (YAY!), We had an absolutely delicious dinner, very traditional Thanksgiving.
At the end, was pie: pumpkin, or pecan. I was already stuffed and had neither, but Scott had pumpkin so I asked (before it was brought) whether I could have a bite of his. He said sure.
It arrived, with whipped cream and ice cream, and I snagged a small bite off the tip with whipped cream and enjoyed. Halfway through, I snagged a forkful of his ice cream. He finished it, asked for another piece. When it arrived, he held it in the air in one hand whilst moving the first plate with the other. I snagged a big forkful of the new pie while it was in midair, moving slowly so he could nay-say if he wanted. Went from having a sharply-pointed tip to one that was maybe 1-2 centimeters across.
Halfway through that piece, he asked if I still wanted my bite. He'd managed to miss seeing all of these, apparently. The others had not, and were greatly amused.
Very good pie, too.
We played cards for a bit more and then headed home - this was just about perfect, and I had a wonderful time.
