Bleh. Last night I got a call with a problem at a client site at 6 pm (and I'd just made it home from work, and not had dinner, too). I worked intermittently on it until way too late - just when I meant to go to bed, it sidetracked me again. I got to bed about midnight, only to have R. call me back on the matter about a half hour later (I'd given up on that call!). Unfortunately his conclusion matched mine - network problem, all that time spent trying to find anything we could act on yielded nothing. About fifteen minutes later I was falling back asleep.

Needless to say, I got up a bit later than my intended 6 am this morning; I was only 30 minutes later than I meant to be to work, but that involved waiting to eat my breakfast till I got in. Went on following up on the issue for a good hour or more this morning, too. Still looks the same, no further problems since the last-reported one last night.

Man. Sometimes this stuff is good for an ulcer. Hopefully I'll avoid one anyway. At least I know they're up and running now.

Now to switch gears, and get other stuff done.

It's not a major thing, really. Not compared to some people's lives. But I definitely feel off today, and I'm sulky about it. The tiredness has something to do with the late work night last night, I would imagine. The stuffed up nose - gee, thanks allergies. The queasy feeling I will blame on the deli, since it didn't start until I ate the nachos. The cheese-sauce was a wee bit spicy. Glad I didn't let them add other spicy stuff to it.

Still, it's not a bad day. Just a very tired one. Hoping the faint headache quails, then flees, in the face of the tylenol I took. Fearing it won't, because it's probably my body saying "you need sleep!"

And I would take the laptop and go home, nap, then work, but R. (the new employee) needs a bunch of stuff shown this afternoon. Next week, I can pass him off to M. most of the time, but this week - I could, but...when explanations of the whole system are being given...well, if I could get R. (my former supervisor) to give them, I would. As it is, I'm the next-most-knowledgeable.
