Just for the record, I went to sleep at a reasonable hour (10:30 - not ideal, for alarm-at-6, but not bad, and I'd had that three hour nap yesterday). I woke up about 5 minutes before the alarm at 6.

Sounds ideal, right? Except for the part where I slept restlessly and woke several other times during the night (including when Scott got home, and we had to hang up the laundry he'd done or let it wrinkle - it got hung up). And for the part where I woke up with a splitting headache from my sinuses. It's down to an ache here and a throb there, but I'm still not very happy. I'm quite tired, but of course, going back to bed now doesn't work. First, the alarm's on snooze now, so I'd get no rest, and second, even if I did, I only have time to get an hour or so.

In short, I could make myself feel worse, but not better.

Today is going to be way too interesting.

Oh, and I found the CD for my digital camera. Mind, that doesn't help with their not having XP drivers, but other than that it's good. (Where was it? Why, I put it in the carrying case of the new laptop, of course, so it would be "easy to find".)

Just a quick post, from my new laptop, on the work network.

I hope it works with my setup at home when I get there. It looks like it should. It looks like XP has let me set up a single card to work on both networks, with different addresses. Now, to see if that causes any problems at home (seems to work fine here! - I can get to everything I need).

My nose is still stuffed up, but the tylenol or something at least did away with the headache. I still feel tired, though; definitely coming down with something. Maybe just coming down with exhaustion, who knows. ;)

I hate my memory. I didn't remember we had the guy from the alerting company coming in today, and Del only reminded me Thursday or Friday - too late to really stop it, and anyway, the demo it's for is very important.

Problem: I'm supposed to be doing other stuff. Which means, once again, if I am going to pull all of this off, I am going to be putting in overtime, because I have been directed not to slip project-related items.

Oh, and my headache's back, and my day has been full of interruptions, and somehow my new employee never was given his password to the payroll information system and no one noticed until they were cutting the checks that his data hadn't been filled in. Umm. So, he's filling it in now, and they are going to hand-cut his check for this pay period, only a day or two late.

I am so irritated by this. Why did no one complain about someone not in the payroll system being on timesheets and filling in time?

Still, it's all getting sorted out now. Can I take my headache home? Pretty please?
