Hey, wow, it's my birthday. Scott gave me a gift last night, and I'd hardly thought about it; so I blinked. I got an email this morning. The office has donuts.

It's weird. Birthdays used to matter so much when I was growing up, and then they stopped because I just didn't keep track. And partly because, well, for a while the former secretary at our office insisted on birthday lunches for everyone, and I really, really wanted them to forget mine. I don't generally enjoy meals as a social occasion, so giving me such a meal for my birthday is not really a gift.

On the other hand, today brought donuts to the office in my honor, and polite happy birthdays. I like donuts, and minor fuss. I like donuts rather a lot.

So far, so good. (Major problem at client site, but sorting it out is blessedly someone else's problem, and a quick-fix for it was in place before we finished the evaluation.)

*sigh* My ISP upgraded their home page.

It uses the code that changes scrollbar color.

I need to see if there's some way to turn that off. I frickin hate that. They don't look like scrollbars any more, dammit, the whole point of standards is to standardize.

Jerks. They supply five styles, and not one can resist turning your scrollbar its own color, and not one is basic greys.

Had some errands to run, at least one of which needed to be done before 4, so I cut out of the office then. I'll get the laptop up and do another hour or two of work here somewhere, but it's my birthday, and I got the errands done, and I'm happy.

Sothere. :)
