Well, it is.The sun's out, the sky's blue, and the early-morning rain left everything shiny and clean and wet. (I'm much more thrilled than I would be if I'd left anything outside, of course, other than the trash can for pickup.)

I have stuff to do, at least some of which I can actually accomplish, and I have the 5-gig hard drive I asked for in my computer. (People keep telling me I could have made the company get me a 30-gig drive, they're not that expensive. Yes, but we had the 5-gig and no one was using it...and I needed about 1 gig of space, right now. At the rate I expand, I don't expect to outgrow this disk for 2-3 years...by which time, the 30-gig will probably be available plentifully as leftovers, no?)

It's going to be a long week, but maybe, just maybe, I can actually get some stuff done. This would be good. The most frustrating thing about this communications bug is that I can't find it and don't know where to look further. I can test it - I can roll things back - but I can't fix it, because I can't find the exact point of the problem. Urk.

Still. I'm having lunch from the deli today (mostly because I need to do more grocery shopping), and my DSL is working and mostly behaved itself all weekend, and I'm awake, and I had fruit leather, and it's a good day.

And it better stay that way, so there. :)

Oh, and I bruise way too easily, according to Scott. I'm inclined to agree. A rolling cart I was carrying up the stairs tipped in my arms, a total movement of about three inches, and whacked my upper arm. I have a bruise. Admittedly, not a really ugly one, but it hurt like heck still this morning. Bah, humbug. ;)

And, hey, I had a little time to roleplay this weekend, and a lot of time to move, sort, unpack, and so on.

I don't want to work on the bug I'm assigned, either.

Actually, I'd rather work on the bugs he's assigned.

Oh, well. I got the builds for testing done; now to wait 'til this afternoon, when hopefully we can put them in after class. If they don't KO the whole system we'll see how they do for a day - I have the "fix" ready, if there are any new problems.

I got issues assigned to people, including updating a site that needs to test the latest version.

I got my new hard drive in use - M set it up for me end of last week, and now I have all the shared files on it. Which means my main hard drive now has over 1 gig of free space. (At one point last week it had less than 8k free. Yes, I did mean what I just typed.) Thank heavens, I can use my computer again! Plus, the space-eating stuff has another 4 gig to go into on the new disk. I may uninstall a couple space-hog programs and reinstall them over there too...but I don't really have time for that right now, since I have enough space for what I need to do.

Gotta call about donation pickup sometime today - but, the place is open 'til 8:30 at night, so I can call after work. Also must buy groceries. Either that, or give up on eating fruit, since I'm pretty much out.

Ooo. Pretty storm. Still at work, about to leave. I would have gone sooner but about a half hour ago an amazing storm just sort of showed up, thunder and lightning and dark clouds and rain so hard it looked white (actually turned out to be slightly sleet, so maybe that was why it looked that way, but heavy!). Beautiful, just beautiful, very windy.

Of course we all had to stop working for a bit and gawk. Now it is raining very very heavily, no longer as dark in the clouds, no longer lightning/thunder. The drive ought to be interesting, I love this sort of weather. So pretty!
