My boss is trying to import some old WP docs and update them in Word.

They have headers and footers and images. So far, Word has imported all the styles and images (including the company logo in the footers). The images all came in upside down.

The section titles were all entered twice, on two subsequent lines each.

He's now resorted to c/p'ing the text into Notepad, saving it off, and removing the extra section titles. (He didn't want the header/footer stuff anyway and was annoyed that it came in.)

I'm laughing helplessly. This is just priceless. And all too predictable. (Unfortunately, he didn't have WP around to export to some more controllable format....)

I just realized something that should have been obvious. C and R have been driving me nutso. They eat lunch around 1 or 1:30, dinner at 7-8...gah!

I just realized. I flip-flopped to east coast time automatically because of the daylight times and when I ate breakfast, when I woke up. I'm following my normal day pattern, of both mealtimes and when I'm wide awake vs. tired if I'm up, just as I do at home - but three hours off, because I've adapted.

They're not. They're still on the west coast, in terms of time zone. I forget sometimes how many things are touched by lack of adaptability - and how many people don't adapt as quickly or easily as I do, in terms of time zone stuff (I sure don't adapt well in other areas sometimes, but...).

Huh. At any rate, I should have a sandiwch in another 5-10 here. That sounds good.

Nothing else to say. I am just about screaming with relief. I figured it out, and everything about it except the fact that I couldn't reproduce it makes sense.

(Update: now that does too. I thought I had the same data. Thanks to the wonders of misnaming files, I didn't. Oops.)

Things are good. Full notes from evening ramblings when I get back. No net access 'til Wednesday night now.

YAY!
