I've now been in a post office when they closed, and locked the doors and lowered the blinds. The guy by the door had to unlock it to let each of us out as we completed our transactions. (I got there over a half hour before they closed, I left ten minutes after. I feel less guilty about being late, as I am obviously very not alone....)

Most of the packages should arrive, hopefully, after Christmas but before the new year. They might miss and arrive slightly after the new year, though - and one or two might arrive Monday. (West-coast folks. There's no promises, but the weirdness of the mail might do it.)

I'm amazed the guy behind the counter didn't throttle me as I kept piling things up on his counter, but, he didn't. :) I hope I didn't miss anyone whose address I have; that's been one of my nervous fears. (Well, except for my parents. I like an excuse to visit them, so hand-delivery is a must.)

Well, not nothing. Got back from shipping stuff and buying groceries, and vegged, but I vegged semi-productively. The dishes are done, the laundry is mostly done (need to go put another load in the dryer, and the towels will get washed another day, but...). I scened (Jem talked to her grandfather, and some decisions that needed to be stated, were). I hung out with my friends and chatted. I played neopets (okay, so I'm a pathetic addict, but it's fun and amusing, at least for now).

In the grand scheme of things, nearly everything I meant to get done today, I basically did. And I started to decompress, and I had fun. That's not too bad.

I say "nearly" because I forgot to call my parents. It's now much too late...I was supposed to call to set tomorrow up. I'll call tomorrow. If it's a problem, it will be another day, nice and simple. Oopsy. *guilty look*
