1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?
On the whole, not. I tend to have stuff scattered all over, sometimes to the point where you have to lunge over it to reach something. On the other hand, I can always find my "key" stuff and usually find the rest of it, and I'm rarely if ever late for/forgetful of appointments, so not completely disorganized.
2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
Yes, and no. The problem with these things is that they are not pro-active and I forget to check them. I do utilize lists on whatever paper is handy; I use the "tasks" function in Outlook while at work (which pops up and proactively notifies me, as long as the program in question is up), and I have a scheduled task that pops up to tell me to take my medicines, though.
3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
*hysterical laughter* The keyboard for my other computer is half-buried in a wash of papers, CDs, and a pack of Trident. Other occupants of my desk (although not the keyboard) include a watch, a bracelet, about $1.50 in change, candy wrappers, a sheet of stickers, old cards, the Harry Potter DVD set, receipts, pens, paint pens, blank dice, artwork, and numerous other scraps of paper. And that's just at the desk level, not on the shelves (the scanner can't be opened without dislodging a resin turtle, a plastic frog, a plush Cthulhu, and a Nene Thomas card-sized print in a frame).
That about covers the "organized" idea, I think.
4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
Books, yes. By author for fiction and poetry; by title or topic for non-fiction. I'd never find it, else. DVDs, no, we don't own that many. CDs, not yet, but it's a planned project because right now I can't find the ones I want all the time.
5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize?
I'm really not sure. It's more like a constant forging ahead piecemeal than a great huge struggle.
Probably packing to move out of college, one or another of those times. Most of the other moves were more time-forgiving than the dorms ever were.
