It is beautiful out. Rainy and windy and wet and glorious.

My scores at the photo-challenge site will probably drop. I love outdoor photos taken in this weather, and a great many other members seem to prize clear weather and score you down for lack of it, as if the photographer could have made the clouds roll back. (If they weren't timed challenges, you could keep trying until you got it, but having only a week - well, I tend to think there are some things that just ain't happening.)

Oh, well. They like these photos less; I like them as much, and sometimes more. I think this weather is a glorious beauty, after all. There probably will be fewer photos from me (since getting them now means going out and getting soaked, and while I love this weather, my camera maybe would not be so fond of that activity), but not so many fewer.

I'm babbling. I'm also heading out for a while now. I have no idea where I'll go or what I'll take pictures of, I just want to get out and enjoy the weather. *bounce*

Good morning!

Though I could say that of many days. I've accomplished nothing terribly useful, and I do not in the least care. It's glorious. This morning was pouring rain, wet, cloudy, rich with the scents of rain and plants and earth. (Not wet asphalt; it's been wet too long for that one, but perhaps again yet this year. That's more common during summer rainshowers.)

And now? Now it's lovely out. There's just a hint of the bottom bit of a rainbow arc, visible from bluegreen through red, to the east, against a mid-grey cloud; clouds are midgrey up to puffy white and the sky above me (or at least the sky above the pasture, which is what I can see from here) is blue. The vague blue, not the painfully clear one of a really crisp day, but I wouldn't expect that to appear with all these clouds. It's lovely and clear and cool, and I'm warm in the house. I'm sure at some point it will start to rain again.

I sincerely hope so, at least. It would be a lovely end to a wonderful weekend.
