I've had one call on the pager all week - Friday night, late, and it wasn't a bad one - so far. I roleplayed for hours yesterday. My character is a twit at times, but watching her be a twit was kind of fun.

It was clear and cool all this week, till the weekend when, as predicted, it has been raining pretty constantly, and moderately heavily. I'm looking at a half-bare tree with all the rest of the leaves a milk chocolate brown, and many smaller trees, still better-clothed in banana yellows. The pasture is tan-and-green. The rain is coming down and the wind blows intermittently so that there are raindrops spattered on my window here.

It is gorgeous. It is absolutely gorgeous. And I don't mind one bit that it is also preventing me from doing much in the way of yardwork, which I didn't want to do anyway.

The little maple in our front yard was one of the last to change colors on our street, this year. Which means it still has most of its leaves to dump. Which means that somewhere in the foreseeable future, I have a date with a rake and what will probably be some very soggy leaves. But not yet. So far, they're still mostly on the tree.

Waiting for Scott to get up. I need a shower really badly - the state of my hair doesn't bear describing, trust me - but I don't want to wake him up to get it, so I'm waiting. I'll put my contacts in then. (I'm wearing glasses just now, because I had a sty developing and wanted to apply heat, and didn't want contacts in for that. It's really much better, though, I mostly got it last night before bed.)

Working on a character concept for Teatime. Almost have her gelled enough for discussing, but not quite yet. Still fidgeting between different approaches to her.
