Apparently, I can't make my mind up this weekend at all. Or rather, I can, I just keep re-making it up every so often. We actually have a Lush store near us now (open, even!) and I thought I might go. But there's no parking structure listed in the yellow pages as closer than a bit over half a mile. I am sure there is something closer but I'm not used to that part of Portland and I hate street parking. So Scott agreed to drive me, but now I'm not in the mood for it, so probably not this weekend unless I change my mind again. No point going there and hating it because I didn't want to go just then, I guess.

I debated going to the Japanese Gardens but cleaning out my hard drive of the extra photos (which are still on the backup drive and I have a copy of the donation CD for those photos) sort of glutted me on the Gardens! I considered the Gorge but it does not take much intelligence to figure out that it will be a bit busy this weekend and I'm not in the mood anyway. Labor Day Weekend means everyone is doing stuff and I'm finding that I just want to sit at home, roleplay, read, maybe even play with beads a bit rather than go Do Stuff when everyone else is, too. Maybe next weekend I will go out and do stuff and so on. Today I am staying home. Unless I change my mind. (And tomorrow, when so much is closed, I definitely am.)

Of course, I still have to finish doing the laundry, the dishes, and take the trash out, just in case you think I am getting away here with a life composed entirely of leisure activities. I'm just restless as far as the "free" time (of which there is a fair bit).

Buzznet is screwing around with their RSS feeds. I wish they'd stop. Twice this week, I've gotten the last 10 pics for every buzznet feed on my list showing again. Right now it's the same thing, except the pictures are not there since they are doing maintenance. It does look like they finally put all the public galleries back into the default feed for a user like I wanted, though, based on the fact that [livejournal.com profile] pheon's house photos (or at least their titles) are in this batch.

The laundry is closer to done than not-done, the dishes are done, and I've had a good day of RP and chat and hanging out and doing not much.

Nonetheless, I am a very lucky little idiot. My laptop overheated earlier as I had it doing too much. When it overheats, it turns off instantly. So I took the USB card out as that makes it worse, and left it to cool down. I stood up to go do something else.

The USB card plugs in so it can have enough power to power the devices. I had not unplugged it. I tripped lightly on the cord, which pulled the card against my water cup, which tipped my water cup over, which poured water on a bunch of papers, a plastic bag (which luckily protected lots of things), my skirt (which I tried to hold more of it with), and the power strip. I was bloody lucky: the power strip was full with things plugged in and it was on its side as often happens. None of the water got in it.

So it was only my nerves that were sizzling. Jeeez....
