So we get the three colors up, and the only one they'll approve is Privilege Green. Which is fine - it's Scott's favorite, my second choice of the three. However, they bypassed latte (a mid-tone tan, which is the sort of color that is all over the neighborhood) in favor of this really fairly dark green.

Does anyone remember why they denied our first color choice when we were originally painting? Because it was too dark. About this dark, I think, in fact.

These people are nuts.

Anyway, we're getting this approval in writing and if the weather holds, our house will be dark green by the end of the weekend. I hope "it's not easy being green" doesn't apply here.

Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day

Onesome: Winnie the Pooh-- What was your favorite book series as a kid? Was there one you tried to find the complete set to read? ...or maybe just one book you remember well?

I have no idea how to begin to answer this. I don't have a great memory, and I believe I skipped from story to story and series to series (where they were in one, even!) regularly, loving many. I know I read much of the Children of Green Knowe series and liked it at first; but that was in later years, and I don't remember from when I was younger - books, I mean, right now. Maybe I'll think of half-a-dozen later.

Twosome: and the-- holidays are just around the corner? Are you ready for things? ...or are you too immersed in life to even think about it?

Gaaaah. Holidays. Official demands to be nice or else you don't care. I dunno. I'm looking forward to time off, holiday music, lights, a bit of holiday food, but I'm not looking forward to the present-card-scramble moments.

Threesome: Blustery Day-- Hey, what do you like to do on a stormy day when you're not working or in school? Do you curl up with a book? Watch TV? Bake? How do you pass the time when you don't feel like going "out in it"?

Curl up with a book, drive around and watch it, walk in it, dance in it, play on the computer and look up to see it attacking the pasture....
