The first set of bookshelves for the computer room were actually assembled last weekend but never attached to the wall. They've switched how they attach them since the last time we bought these bookshelves and the new way is ugly (not hard, just ugly). So went out looking for square bracket things like the way they used to do it, preferably to use with the same screws. Gave up on that and got a set with different screws but it wasn't clear how well they'd work.

Scott proposed an alternate, we agreed it was a good idea, and then it never happened. I was never that energetic and I was debating doing it myself. (Scott has attached every other set of bookshelves we've put up to the wall - and done a good job of it - but I felt like doing it just because. I suppose to prove I could.) So today, I got the thing attached to the wall. We compromised and moved their attachment piece to the top where it's less visible, but I also tested and the square brackets I got will work. So this one is doubly well attached, which is overkill, but there you have it.

Now "all" that remains to be done is to put the stuff on it that goes there, clean out the rest of the crude in this room that doesn't belong wherever it is, and oh yes, put up the other bookshelf (which goes where a lot of the crud is). With vacuuming in the middle.

The other bookshelf is not going to be up today. I'll count myself lucky if all of the stuff that's mine that ought to be somewhere else and is presently in the pile of crud, ends up whever it ought to be.
