Some of you who watch my Flickr account have already seen these, as I started the upload last night and let it run while I went to bed. But, I've uploaded another set of photos (slides) from Dad's stuff. This contains at least part of the beach trip where my aunt was present (the same visit my Grandma was on, and there's a photo with her also). And another bunch from winter involving me discovering an icicle almost as big as I am. And one of a neighbor kid I used to know. And a few of my Lite Bright. And me with the model train set I remember! I think this is the best one of me with the train set while this shows a little more of the train set itself.

There are also a few landscapes and several shots of me and my parents, both at home and on some trip (I can tell we were at some event or conference - Mom is wearing a name tag). And this shot of me with my Mom in the kitchen, which I believe is my favorite one from the set.

Scott stayed home today - he has a nasty something-or-other with a sore throat. Poor guy. I'm hoping I don't get it as that really would not improve my week. I do approve of sharing but there are limits to what I want to share!

Earlier this evening, as I was running errands, I proved that I am still very much myself. It was pouring rain (a lovely Oregon February - and that's not sarcasm - I adore the rain). It was heavy enough that I wanted an umbrella, though. (Not too many smart remarks about whether I'm an Oregonian, please - at that instant I'd've needed the wipers on normal speed to keep the windshield clear while not moving. I don't mind a mist, but an outright soaking is more than I want.) So I got the umbrella from the car floor and did my dramatic open-door-pop-umbrella-up-hop-out.

And closed the door. With the car STILL RUNNING because my keys were in the ignition. Ohyeah, that's me. I've done this a number of times. But I think I've only ever truly locked myself out once. (It was, of course, the day of my job interview for the job I now hold. I had to call them and move the interview to another time, then wait while Mom drove 45 minutes - one way time - to come unlock my car for me. How embarrassing! But how very nice of Mom to have bailed me out.)

I had duplicate keys made. I have it done with every car, routinely, rather more duplicates than most people get. There's always another key in my purse. So, sheepishly, I fished it out, unlocked the car, turned it off, and retrieved my main set of keys.

Oops. Good thing I know myself, I guess.

Also, no photos tonight. I didn't prep any, largely because Flickr has been down all evening. And somewhat because I'm lazy, but....
