Tonight we played Seventh Sea. We actually earned drama dice! Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. Two were given out to two of us for a single OOC exchange (to my pleasure but mild bafflement):
Scott said we didn't need to, the trail was /really/ heavily used and one more set of shoes wouldn't make a difference, unless they were REALLY distinctive, like soccer shoes. I said that if you had soccer shoes in this setting, I was disturbed for lots more reasons than covering our tracks. Ron said "Golf shoes. I'm from Avalon." and I said "Fair enough. Pardon the pun." At which point Scott was laughing too hard to even lob the dice at us for a couple seconds.
I'm proud of the pun, just not sure I've ever gotten a drama die for a pun before. :)
The IC thing I am VERY proud of. We are working for the Castillian rebels (some of us more literally than others: I am LITERALLY employed by them and got the captain to go along with it). [For those not familiar with the setting, Montaigne occupies part of Castille; the rebels are rebelling against the Montaigne occupation, and are not generally called 'rebels' by their fellow countrymen, obviously.] We're dealing with some Montaigne patriots who came after us. We took out a brute squad (group of six low-ranked non-hero NPCs), with one member alive but captive. He says: "So you are the Castillian rebels." Isabela, my character (who has Wits 4 and Sincerity 4, making this an even more obnoxious thing to do to the poor guy) looks back at him and says very earnestly, "Oh no, sir, we are not rebelling against Castille."
Scott stared at me blankly for several seconds. I think I actually baffled the GM as well as the NPC, briefly.
