By Michelle Sagara. I finished it last night. This is the third book in the series (Cast in Shadow and Cast in Courtlight). And wow, just wow. Still funny, still fun. I want the next one yesterday, but it's not out yet (though apparently the first draft is finished), so methinks I have a long wait ahead of me.

They are linked, they aren't all one single tale. But they are strongly linked and it feels somewhat like one tale, so. I know how the story of the third book ended, but I want to know what happens next in the arc pretty badly all the same.

Yay books!

Okay, a while back a couple of local radio personalities registered two domain names to gift to a local mayoral candidate named Sam Adams. (Because he gave them an exclusive interview, and they like him.) The Boston Brewing Company (makers of Sam Adams Beer) proceeded to serve them a cease & desist letter (so much for doing research!). And Mark & Dave being, after all, radio personalities and experts at making a situation into entertainment, proceeded to make the company in question look very, very bad. The full details of the thing, including the letter (which they sold to benefit their kids-fund charity!) can be found here.

It was highly amusing. But the most amusing thing to me is this blog post suggesting that selling the beer might be illegal close to election time. Not seriously, but just by way of making the point of the stupid. Excuse me while I cackle.

This is all very out-of-date news. The company has allowed as how Mr. Adams may use his name, and they've sort of said that if they'd known it was for him they'd never have c&d'd it, but they also failed to say they were sorry. In any case, Mr. Adams has his domains and all is well. So it's long past the time of relevance, but the blog post still cracks me up.

Lie to me.
Tell me anything, just make it be a complete and utter falsehood.
