Things I've read in the last few months and I'm not sure I've mentioned:
The Orphan Tales duology, Catherynne Valente. In the Night Garden and In the Cities of Coin and Spice. I enjoyed these a great deal; Scott found the manner of presentation (stories nestled in stories) to be less inviting. I admit, I had a hard time with it at first because I didn't expect it, but once I grew accustomed the flow worked for me.
Victory Conditions, Elizabeth Moon. The latest in the Vatta's War series. I like it, but I don't love it as much as I did the tales of Heris Serrano (in the same universe).
The Queen of the Orcs trilogy, by Morgan Howell. King's Property, Clan Daughter, Royal Destiny. It's okay. It's an interesting read, although bits of it made me uncomfortable (if you've read it, you probably know which ones). I'm not sure it's all that re-readable, though.
