So, Jihae - my gnome mage - is now level 68. (I got about the last 1/3 of level 67 on Hallow's End quests, mostly candy buckets. Pathetic, and effective!) And for the first time, I've gotten to do the kill of the Headless Horseman in Scarlet Monastery. Repeatedly, since all but one member of our group hadn't done it yet this year so we got nine goes on him. I got a broom and a shiny ring. (Okay, technically two shiny rings, but the second one's not very useful to me, however it dropped so much that everyone who could use it got it, and NO ONE was picking it up. *amused*)

That fight is actually fun. And I actually had second-highest aggro after the tank (which was [livejournal.com profile] terram) early in each fight, which is freaking impressive since I was the only one in the group under 70. But it was just plain fun.

Integrating Ray and Apple has been...largely painless. Oh, they're not best buddies, no. But when they spar it's playful and doesn't go too far. A growl is rare - and is heeded as a warn-off. It's not perfect, we've intervened a couple times, but mostly they are dealing quite well. They can play with opposite ends of the same toy happily. They nap in the same room.

I think it may be time to stop shutting Ray in his room when we aren't around to supervise. This makes me all sorts of twitchy, because we are still instructing Ray in the fine art of "no you MAY NOT go there!" Argh. But, that's nuisance, not disaster.
