Poor Drew.

He's had a rough weekend!

Friday at daycare, playing in the gym, he managed to fall and smack his forehead against one of the wooden structures. He has a spectacular bruise all over his forehead now.

Today, he slipped and smacked against a chair, biting the corner of his lip. Minor injury but bit lips, as I know, sting something fierce. Also today, Scott was carrying him upstairs and his foot caught on the gate and got a scrape on the ankle.

Plus the weather has been hot, not for the most part lending itself to "running off energy outside" and running energy off inside is more fraught with both admonitions to not do something, and minor accidents that leave no mark but do cause upset. (Scott very sensibly got Drew out early this morning and they had some running-around, which was good.)

Plus I'm on call for work and so have had less time for him than normal. Plus twice the phone rang precisely as I was cuddling/comforting him and I had to hand him back to Scott which, when he wanted Mama hugs, was NOT helpful for his mood.

Poor guy. He's had a rough weekend.
