Got a little more code done for work, though not as much as I would have liked. I spent too much time doing something stupid and making my processing harder than it had to be, and then had to go back and undo it and redo it right. And either way, I owe that section one BIG block comment, 'cause it's convoluted. Lucky me. Ugh.

Did some LJ support in between coding efforts. Do the slave databases particularly hate us tonight? We got a fair slam of requests like that. If they reopen and haven't cleared up in a couple hours, I'm gonna be very unhappy, but hopefully it's just the normal lag (that's what it looks like so far) caused by heavy usage.

If they reopen, it'll be time to escalate, I suppose. I wish I knew better the correct place to put such information. Though, since I'm going to bed shortly, I suppose it will be someone else's watch anyway.

I have to work tomorrow. Umm. I mean, "be in the office", not just work. Heh. I've had to work a lot of days lately. I'll be working New Year's, too, but not in the office. At least, that's my plan.

i hope you dont mind that i came to your live journal to thank you for answering my question but know that i'm her, i noticed that you change make note to scribble in margins for the option to comment. how did you do that i searched around a little but couldn't find anything, its very cool

*smiles* Thanks, I like it. I actually have a custom style, which is only possible to paid users (it was the only way I could get a notebook style that didn't look awful on anything but cyan, and I'm still refining it a bit).

However, the comment links can be changed by free users, using a different technique than the one I used. It's explained in this FAQ:

If you encounter any problems with it, I hope you will post in support - I have never used that particular set of overrides, so I'm actually fairly clueless. :)
