Good morning.

Woke up to the sound of rain, pattering softly down outside. Flittery memories of dreams, that faded before I got up (which was, mind, some while after I first woke up!).

In my dreams, I was riding the bus somewhere (evaluated the route, and BOY did these busses do some odd things. More like bizarrely designed shuttles, really; not many stops, the routes made no sense, and getting back to where you started wasn't really possible). Got off and was at a gaming store, a little hole-in-the-wall place. (I do mean little: not much larger than our dining room!)

And there, I played Magic with someone I would swear was Dave DuJour (a friend from college, and no, I'm not going to explain the nick here, but it was not his legal last name, as you probably guessed). Except the Magic cards were all pastel (including a pale yellow), the cost-to-cast was in a little round circle (and most of them said '10', which was irritating me no END!), the entire layout was actually different, etc. Plus I had no lands. I'm really not sure WHERE I got the 'points' to cast them.

"Dave" was irritating me by explaining all the basic rules to me, which I understood very well, because I'd asked how a particular card worked. I was going to play the only card I had that I could (the only one that didn't cost 10 - wow, I had a lousy deck), but while I was deciding how to use it, he picked up his cards and left.

Weird. I know there was a dream after that, maybe the most detailed of them all, but the process of the alarm going off (which had accidentally been set to 'radio' instead of 'beep' last night) wiped it away.
