Meetings get postponed for the most interesting reasons....

N. postponed our 10 am meeting to this afternoon sometime. Why?

Because their garage door, as she put it, "sprung a spring" and, without it, can't be opened, including manually. As their cars are in there, and they have to hang around for the repairman to show up....

Oops. :)

heh. I'll have to remember that one the next time I call in sick. :p (Which I do so damned rarely...you'll note I'm sick and at work today...alone, so it's a good thing)

I thought it was too - very funny. Till I heard from her it cost almost $500 to get it fixed. Apparently the springs have to be coiled in place or something so it's dangerous. Ick.

We had a warehouse guy working for us once who called and told us he was going to be late one day because he'd locked himself in the bathroom. I'm still not exactly sure how that works.
