I got to roleplay the cat in a couple of scenes, one lighter than the other and both fun. I also got to roleplay my child-character at another site, who is on her way to retirement from play (because, frankly, she's too static, and the allure has worn off - but oddly the retirement scenes are quite fun).

Scott and I are considering getting a house. We've got an appointment to figure out what sort of loan we can be preapproved for, next week. This isn't a deep commitment that we need to move; it's just an, "It would be nice to get a house." Which means we can take our time, skip things that aren't right or are too expensive.

Depending on how you define too expensive. The housing market around here isn't cheap. But based on what I'm expecting - it looks do-able, at least. And meanwhile, I'm enjoying browsing real-estate sites and the like, just to look at things. Some pretty places out there, and some amazingly ugly ones, and most in between. Imagine that.

I'm enjoying it.

I forgot, for hours at a time (but never when I needed to pick it up, yay!) that I had the rotation cell phone. So that's good, too. And now it's time for bed.

I don't know how the market is there, but around here it's the right time to be getting started. December and January are always dead in terms of new listings. Have you gone to any open houses yet? We found them both interesting and awful. For a year, we spent every Sunday afternoon driving around town and traipsing through strangers' houses.
