Yep, jumping on the bandwagon here. And what better time for a survey than when one is procrastinating about household chores?
Seven foods I grew up with but almost never see anymore:
Last six movies I watched:
I think that's what they are, anyway. I don't watch movies often enough to keep a good list of them.
Five of the things on my desk:
Jeez. Okay, that was cheating, since I snuck multiple things into several of the items. Sadly, it doesn't even begin to touch how much clutter - most of it welcome and loved, some of it needing cleaning - is on my desk.
Last four CDs I listened to:
Last three websites I've visited:
(Er, discounting journal/diary sites.)
You can tell I was reading my comics just before. Fortunately, it only says three, so you won't be linked to every one I read or anything.
Last two books I've read:
(No fair! Books are more important than movies and I only get two??? And both are rereads, from last night. :)

Seven foods I grew up with but almost never see anymore:
- Tang (I used to adore this stuff, too - scary thought).
- Lemon chicken over rice (I need to get mom's recipe for this and fix that).
- A&W root-beer floats made in the restaurant in a chilled glass. (I just loved how the ice cream crisped up bits of root beer. I learned to finish the shake after the crispies were gone, because otherwise my parents would be unhappy with me, but I mostly wanted the little crisps.)
- Home-made fruit leather. (Now, this one, I don't want the recipe for. It's a pain. But it's good.)
- Angel food cake with "grease" (you know, I don't even know the proper name of the stuff so nicknamed?).
- Meat pasty. (When I do see this, it's because mother made it. Another one I need to get the recipe for - it's delicious.)
- Salmon patties. (Another one I need mom's recipe for - the way she makes them is wonderful. Though Scott won't eat fish, so this would be up to me to finish as well as make. Hope the recipe divides well.)
Last six movies I watched:
- Being John Malkovich (if watching 10-15 minutes, then walking out of the room, counts as watching).
- The Borrowers (again; we have the DVD).
- Lord of the Rings
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
- The Matrix (another we have on DVD)
- The Lion King 2 (rented).
I think that's what they are, anyway. I don't watch movies often enough to keep a good list of them.
Five of the things on my desk:
- An unlit beeswax candle in a glass base. (I like the look and smell of beeswax; seeing it makes me happy; but I'm not about to light it near the computer. I rolled this one from a kit in September, and for a while it sat on my windowsill at work with woven belts from Guatemala in red/white/blue around it.)
- A small white cat figure curled in a basket, a gift from a friend. It's so realistic-looking (despite being miniature), that when it first arrived and I reached to pet the soft fur, I almost cried to find it cold. I love this cat. Also a stuffed beanie baby cat, gift from another friend, and just as treasured. When I'm feeling silly, it ends up on my head for a bit instead. Why must I always be so serious? A beanie baby cat makes a fine hat...okay, maybe not. But it makes Scott laugh.
- My tax forms. Which really need to be filled out and sent in, so they are no longer on my desk.
- Lots of miniature animal figurines - a squirrel in Mt. St. Helens ash, and cast resin turtles, a frog, and a seal.
- A "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff" page-a-day calendar. Presently on March 8, which is apparently when I last looked at it...no wonder this week has felt so hectic, LOL. ;)

Last four CDs I listened to:
- Sinéad Lohan - No Mermaid
- Jewel - Spirit
- Billy Joel - Storm Front
- Suzanne Vega - 99.9 F°
Last three websites I've visited:
(Er, discounting journal/diary sites.)
- The ISO character set linked from the Writing HTML page I sometimes reference. (In this case, to figure out how to put the degree-sign on that last CD - I couldn't remember the right character substitution.)
- Kevin and Kell for a dose of morning comics.
- Clan of the Cats for more of the same.
You can tell I was reading my comics just before. Fortunately, it only says three, so you won't be linked to every one I read or anything.
Last two books I've read:
(No fair! Books are more important than movies and I only get two??? And both are rereads, from last night. :)
- Jane Lindskold's Changer.
- Logan's Run.
