Work was very very stressful. I ended up staying until six. Ack. I am pleased to report that traffic down to the new house from where I work is fairly light at that hour, but....

Another two trunksful of stuff moved. I really could do two or maybe three trips a night, and I might tomorrow night, but tonight Scott's gaming group was there. We had pizza and soda, we talked and laughed. They invited me to play; I chose to pass, partly because I didn't want to create a character on the fly, partly because I didn't think our gaming styles a good match (when the GM started reading from the module book - and stumbling because he couldn't pronounce some of the words, like poor readers in a high school English class might - I knew I'd made a good call), and partly because I wanted to leave before midnight. I know how Scott's games go.

He plays a gnome illusionist. Who is insatiably curious and talks too much. And plays him fairly well. The party calls him Blather (in character!), and "Shut up, Blather!" was the cry of the night.

I was vastly amused. I sat and listened and read a book, and generally enjoyed myself; and then I came home. I'll get some packing done, and then to bed and back to work, but that was a lovely nice island of peace and humor in my week. I find myself hoping they'll game there once we're moved in, too, so I can wander in and out of it.
