Yay for LiveJournal being back up.

Yesterday was good. I got the car's license plates renewed (including an easy pass on DEQ - the numbers were really nice - which was cool). Went out to McMinnville and hit New To You, where I picked up two pairs of pants (getting really tired of not having enough that I like to make it through the week) and a new shirt (which I didn't need, but it was $1.75 and I really liked it, so it came home with me). Speaking of "new" shirts, I'm wearing another one. One of Scott's didn't fit him any more (too tight across the shoulders and it used to fit, so I would say it shrunk somehow) and he was going to get rid of it. But it's one I really like, so I commandeered it.

I say, yet again, to the fashion industry: HATE. Men get relatively comfy shirts that aren't too hot that are businesslike. Women's "business" shirts are scratchy, stiff, or so sheer as to be obscene without a jacket; and no matter what they look like, they're too hot. What's up with THAT? Anyway, I really like the shirt, so that's a good thing.

On the way home from McMinnville, I was going to come up the Wilsonville road - there's a rest area I'd like to stop at - but I didn't because I decided to go elsewhere that wasn't on the route. From which I now have Dad's father's day gift. Now, to find out if I'm going to see him on or near Father's Day - don't know if they have things planned or if I could just drop out with it.

And, when I got home, I hung out with friends and got to play a fun little scene. Unfortunately, I had to end the scene at a good fade-point when I would have rather continued, because I was tired enough my coherency was fading. (And my poor eyes were vaguely gummy when I blink. I used eye drops before taking the contacts out.)

Beginning to get mildly annoyed with my battery recharger for the camera batteries. I seem to have misplaced it in the move. I may have to get another one, considering I was at one point thinking two would be nice to charge more batteries faster the way I go through them. I haven't priced them yet, though. It might be that when I go to do that, I start searching a lot harder!

Today, I need to get a bit of code finished (I think this should be pretty quick). I need to pay bills (ugh), transfer money into checking to cover the bills (no shock there, really), and maybe I'll go so far as to get the battery recharger. Oh, and I might stop at the library and get a library card, I guess. If they're open on Sundays, which I don't actually know.

Scott's going to have Dale and Rob over later to see the house. It's still trashed, but that's okay, I guess. It's better than it was.

It's beautiful out. A bit ago, it was brilliant sun to the middle of the pasture, then sharp cloud shadow, but now it's all sun. The clouds are very dramatic, though, white tops and dark grey undersides, but here we're in a lovely little window of sun. It's a bit too mid-day - the trees are, instead of bright, a bit drab-looking in it, honestly. Still, it's so nice to have a window looking out on the day.
